UGA Alumni well-represented on the Inc. 5000 List

University of Georgia alumni’s presence was obvious in the recent announcement of the fastest growing private-companies. Nearly a dozen founders or executives made the list by setting the pace of growth in each of their respective industries. 

Companies and alumni recognized on this year's Inc. 5000 are listed below.

PrizePicks, founded by Adam Wexler (BBA ‘07) in 2017. The company was 66th overall on the list, growing by 5,836%. PrizePicks is a daily fantasy platform serving more than 600,000 users that has positioned itself as a dominant company in sports betting. 

BitcoinDepot was founded in 2016, by Brandon Mintz (BBA ‘16). It is the fastest growing multi-cryptocurrency ATM Network offering users the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash instantly at thousands of locations across the United States. BitcoinDepot was #367 on the list, with 1,596% growth.

Offbeat Media Group found itself 403rd on the list, showing a 1,501% growth. Founded in 2018, OMG is the leading digital influence and media company that owns, builds and brokers the largest native social media network of publishers and virtual influencers. Offbeat clients sit at the intersection of lifestyle, culture and entertainment, including the likes of TikTok, McDonald’s, Twitch, Cameo, Netflix, Hooters, Warner Music Group and many more. Alumni represented by OMG include Shep Ogden (BBA 18’), Bailey Grady (BBA 19’), Kevin Planovsky (ABJ ‘05), Christopher Travers (BBA 17’)

BIOLYTE, founded in 2016 is listed as the 605th fastest growing company, with 1,052% growth. Jesslyn Rollins (AB ‘15, AB ‘15), is the CEO of the company. BIOLYTE, the IV in a bottle®, is the first liquid supplement that offers the same benefits of IV rehydration therapy, but in a drinkable form. The founder wanted to create a product that would bring the IV bag home to his wife when she was going through breast cancer. He used his experience in the hospital tailoring IV bags to his patients’ needs, to create BIOLYTE, the first IV in a bottle.

Calendly ranked #966th on this year's list. The company was founded in 2013 by Tope Awotona (BBA ‘02). Calendly is a scheduling automation platform simplifying the way to schedule, prepare and follow up on external meetings through a powerful cloud-based tool. The company has a growth percent of 671% over the last three years.

Beech Valley Solutions, is represented by Brad Hughes (BBA ‘09, MAcc ‘10) and Josh Tarica (BBA ‘09, MAcc ‘10) as #1,372 on the list. Founded in 2014, the company showed 471% growth. Beech Valley Solutions is an A-List talent platform connecting organizations with top-tier accounting, finance and IT talent on demand across the U.S. and Canada.

Mark Spain Real Estate is a full-service brokerage, having served over 20,000 clients in the past 25 years. Local and experienced agents can be found in Atlanta; Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; and Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 2016 by Mark Spain (BBA ‘93), the company grew by 305%, landing the company as the #1,973 fastest growing private company.

LeaseQuery, founded in 2011 by George Azih (BBA’ 03) and Chris Ramsey (BS ‘05). LeaseQuery helps accountants and financial professionals eliminate errors through its CPA-approved, cloud computing solution. LeaseQuery’s software is built by accountants for accountants under the provisions of all standards. The software complies with all sector reporting under FASB, IFRS and GASB. Growing by 304%, the company is 1,983rd on the list.

Dental Claimsupport, founded by Davy Clay (BBA ‘08), Ryan DeLettre (BSFCS ‘06), Josh Smith (BBA ‘09) in 2012. Dental Claimsupport is a dental billing services company ensuring dental practices reduce strain and grow financial performance by reshaping the interaction with insurance companies. The company is #2,553 on the list, growing by 224%.

Marketwake was founded by Brooke Beach (ABJ ‘11) in 2015. The company is 2,809th on the list, growing by 197%. Marketwake is a digital marketing agency using the power of great ideas to help businesses unlock their potential, reach their growth and revenue goals and leave lasting change in the world.

Chicken Salad Chick is represented by CEO, Scott Deviney (AB ‘95). With 186% growth, the chain lists at 2,916th. Chicken Salad Chick is the fastest-growing chain of restaurants serving full-flavored, Southern style chicken salad as well as gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and desserts.
